Tiny Wireless Pacemaker

New development by a start-up company called Nanostim that was recently acquired by st. Jude Medical of a pacemaker about the size of a AAA battery that can be inserted into the heart using a catheter and will last for 9 to 13 years without any leads or wires required.

Augmented reality use for Medical Education

Augmented reality is really catching on with many applications arising in entertainment and commerce varying from TV show characters coming alive using a card in front of your webcam to augmented reality business cards. However, also in the field of medical imaging informatics, augmented reality could play a role.
